Most of us have to drag out all the wrapping supplies every time we gift-wrap a present. But did you know you can use the back of the door and some hardware to make a permanent home for those wrapping supplies?
This saves you time at the holidays because you don’t have to gather the tape, scissors, ribbon, wrapping paper and gift bags every time you need to wrap a present. It would be nice if we could wrap them all in one go, but that’s not how it works, does it?
And at Christmas and other holidays, anything that saves time is a lifesaver!
There are a couple options I like for a quick mini-wrapping station.
1. Use the back of a door
Get a track system for the back of a door for your wrapping paper and supplies. Available at organizing stores and big box stores. I love the versatility of this system.Â
It only takes 30 minutes to install one of these babies on the back of a door!
Benefit 1: It’s out of your way; all the supplies are gathered and off the floor.
Benefit 2: Add super-easy cleanup and this system is a no-brainer!
Benefit 3: See how many supplies you have at a glance.
One installation tip: use zip ties for greater stability for the grid and basket attachments.
2. Budget-friendly wrapping paper station
This product is from Ikea, and is actually meant to hold and compress plastic grocery bags. Here, it has been repurposed for wrapping paper!
It’s very easy to install, using the hardware provided. Just make sure you sink the screws into studs whenever possible. As you can see, this is installed inside a closet and takes up very little space.
In order to have everything in one spot for easy wrapping, store the other supplies like tape, scissors, bows and bags on one of the closet shelves.
3. Ready-to-use wrapping paper organizer
This wrapping paper organizer is easy to use, portable, and large. It holds many Christmas wrapping paper rolls. In that way, it has an advantage over the Ikea one.
Also, there is no set-up time for this, you do not have to install anything. This is an even bigger time saver than the other choices!
The only disadvantage to this is there is not built-in space for the other supplies in this wrapping paper organizer. Locating it next to a shelf or a drawer that holds the tape, scissors, bows, and gift bags would be the most efficient way to set this up quickly and easily in your home.
I hope you got some good info and can now make a good choice about the wrapping station that is right for you!
Happy holidays to you and yours!
